At first, I thought hacking simply entailed rapidly typing arrays into a pitch-black screen. I first learned about Kali Linux through the show "Mr. Robot". I looked up every Linux-related keyword I could think of as a 13-year-old. The cheapest option was an Udemy course, which I completed in about a week and a half. The lectures provided reasons to be optimistic about the future and pursue previously undiscovered interests. Hacking competitions and puzzles quickly became popular pastimes.
