SELECTING THE KALI LINUX ISO FILE AND PROCEEDING:

To select the "Installer disc image file (iso)" option and browse to the location of the Kali Linux ISO file and select the file and click "Next" in VMware, follow these steps:

1. Launch the VMware Workstation Player software on your Windows machine.

2. Click on the "Create a New Virtual Machine" option to open the New Virtual Machine Wizard.

3. In the wizard, select the "Installer disc image file (iso)" option and click "Next".

5. Navigate to the directory where you have saved the Kali Linux ISO file, select it, and click "Open".

6. The path of the Kali Linux ISO file should now be displayed in the "ISO Image File" field. Click "Next" to continue.

7. On the next screen, select the guest operating system you want to install. In the case of Kali Linux, select "Linux" and then "Debian 10. x". Click "Next" to proceed.

8. Enter a name for your virtual machine and select a location to save it on your computer. Click "Next" to proceed.

9. Specify the disk capacity for your virtual machine and click "Next".

10. Review the summary page to ensure that all the settings are correct and click "Finish" to complete the process.
